THE DRESSES, THE ACCESSORIES, THE WORKS - OSCARS 2013

The Oscar’s 2013 red carpet saw a number of gorgeous starlets wearing classy gowns and dresses. That red carpet has experienced several levels of glamour walk across it and as usual this annual event that took place recently did not fail to meet its expectations. There were a few misses, but there were a lot of hits to conceal them.

Jennifer Lawrence sported a Christine Dior off-white tubed gown. The dress bordered on Bridal, but isn’t that what the Oscar’s are about…BIG? Lawrence carried off the puffy gown with elegance, keeping the accessories at minimum. She wore a thin necklace that was placed down her bare back.

Catherine Zeta Jones looked gorgeously sexy in a sleek gold floor-length gown designed by Zuhair Murad, which trailed down the carpet. Her gown had a textured gold pattern and eventually flowed into a netted trail.

Naomi Watts carried off an Armani with style. This scaly textured gunmetal dress reminded me of a mermaid’s tail, however the neckline cut gives the dress a whole new look. With her pinned back hair tied in a bun, Watts kept the accessories at minimal.

Amanda Seyfried wore a beautiful gown custom made by Alexander McQueen and Roger Vivier shoes.

Jessica Chastain was seen wearing a Salmon straight-cut gown, by Armani. Keeping it simple, she wore her hair down and left her neck bare. The dress is textured with silver studs that add the perfect amount of glitz and glam to her dress.

Simplicity at its best is what Kerry Washington portrayed. Wearing a pink Prada gown, the actor looked stunning in a satin flowy gown. The bust of the dress had heavy work on it, but that gave it the style.

There were a few in-betweeners such as Anne Hathaway, whose dress was also simplicity at its best. However it was so simple, that the poor Princess Mia faced a wardrobe malfunction.
