RESORT 2013 IS A RESULT FOR SUMMER 2012

Sesort is usually the season wedged between fall and spring, the time where the weather is in limbo and so is your wardrobe! Everyone knows it’s a gradual process from a summer to winter wardrobe, it takes time and not to mention, money. So, designers have came up with a ‘resort’ and right now with our sad, sad summer, it holds some of the best and most practical fashion inspiration! According to Alber Elbaz resort is ‘all about solutions’, so lets take a look at those solutions…

Perfect for right now are tailored, colourful pieces (that cover a little bit more skin than should be allowed in summer, but lets be honest… we need it.) Erdem and Lanvin had a similar idea by mixing floral prints and bright colours with a simple, tailored 2 piece design. Something that could work throughout the year.

Of course, leather and fur made a massive debut and as always will be bang on trend this winter, and will hopefully stay in winter! But Balenciaga showcased a hard/soft look by mixing flowing pastels with leather harnesses and footwear, perfect for the ‘in between’ season… or now!

It seems resort is what it says on the tin, a last resort! Mixing and matching all the items in your wardrobe from the previous seasons to create a tailored and put together outfit to match any kind of weather or occasion. Basically, resort 2013 is a result for the fashion of summer 2012.
