HOW TO BE PATRIOTIC AND FASHIONABLE

The Union Jack seems to be making an appearance everywhere recently with the Olympics, Euro 2012 and Diamond Jubilee coming up (and don't forget Eurovision!)

But when we think union jack fashion we often associate it with Geri Halliwell at the 1997 BRIT Awards right? With her statement dress - or shall I say top? - black knickers and red platform boots. How can you nail the patriotic look and not look like Geri Halliwell? Take at a look at our Over-Sized British Flag Scarf available for pre-order. A scarf is the perfect accessory, it can jazz up an outfit and be your statement piece. If your unsure how to wear the scarf, try wearing it with a plain tee to avoid a clash of patterns. If you're brave enough check out Henry Holland's union jack patterned tights for House of Holland, but only wear one union jack item at a time, don't over do it!

Although British flag fashion wasn't exactly the number one trend at Paris Fashion Week, it's definitely a hit this year as Britain prepare for a busy summer! Vivienne Westwood has designed three dresses inspired by the flag for her Red Carpet Capsule Collection and Alexander McQueen have brought out a diamanté union jack clutch handbag at a whopping £1495.

Join in the patriotism and wear a union jack this SS12.
