DOLCE & GABANNA VEGETABLE RANGE

D&G have emerged with a vegetable themed range for S/S 2012. Did someone in the design office miss lunch? These market vegetable come 50’s inspired designs have left everyone hungry for more. Their dress and jewellery collections hit the catwalk this September and have taken the pattern/bright colour trends to their own. Last year, Prada and Stella McCartney introduced the trend for various fruit patterns for the S/S trends; D&G have certainly put their mark on this year. Swimwear, shoes, handbags, headwear, earrings, coats, blazers, scarves… you name it, they’ve put veg on it.

Staying true to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s Italian routes, pasta dangly earrings, garlic pendant bracelets, and floral head pieces are in amongst their designs. The whole collection oozes thrill, summer and togetherness; the true Italian family way of life.

This collection is fabulously feminine with long and short flowy skirts fitted onto tiny waists, two-piece dresses, and almost transparent fabric where appropriate and truly effective. Speaking of fabric, the dress collection also features a selection of beautiful lace, macramé, and even plastic pieces - some veg integrated, some covered in jewels.

"Food is everything: sex, everything. And the kitchen is for time when family are together." - Domenico.

This collection is something the high street hasn’t been able to resist mimicking this collection as already seen on a number of sites. This is definitely one to watch this Summer.
