AB FAB WARDROBE UP FOR SALE!

British actress, Joanna Lumley is to put 50 pieces of clothing and accessories up for auction next month. The auction will take place on November 13 in aid of The Prince's Trust.

The 66-year-old is best known for her role as Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous from 1992 to 2011. The pieces up for auction will be from her Ab Fab wardrobe as well as from her roles in The New Avengers, The Trail of The Pink Panther and some of her own pieces – such as her outfit she wore at the wedding of Charles and Camilla.

Although the BAFTA winning actress has said that each item she is putting up for sale she loves with a passion and are from some of her happiest memories, she said: “I am so thrilled to think that the proceeds will all go to benefit young people through one of my all-time favourite charities - The Prince's Trust.”  Pucci, Chanel and Moschino are some of the designer garments Lumley will be selling. Bruce Oldfield, Jasper Conran and Jean Muir are some of the stars favourite designers, she also claims to shop at Marks & Spencer and Oxfam - so we expect to see some pieces from these stores on sale (mainly in the stars size 12 I expect!)

The Daily Mail were able to view the collection on sale and described a few of the items up for auction. A pinstriped D&G jacket, an Alexander McQueen vest top, Hermes scarves and a fringed Betty Jackson skirt.

Although these pieces may sound glam, Joanna says she doesn't dress up all the time though, you'll catch her at home in her clothes which she calls old clothes. Stained, ripped and frayed items, she told the Mail.

But why did she decide to auction off her beloved treasures? “Thought to myself, “Don’t be selfish. If I die soon, my son and his wife will have to sieve through all this stuff. And I won’t die till I’m 100 anyway, and by then my grandchildren’s friends won’t know who I am. What’s the point? Do it now,” she said.
